Dr. Ziyad Maali, DMD, FAGD
Dr. Ziyad Maali is more than a seasoned dental professional; he’s also a local community advocate. A product of Dr. Phillips Elementary School, West Ridge Middle School, and Dr. Phillips High School, Dr. Maali has deep roots in the area. His higher education journey led him to Florida State University for his undergraduate degree, followed by earning his Dental Degree from the University of Florida College of Dentistry.
As a proud member of the American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, Dental Society of Greater Orlando, and Academy of General Dentistry, Dr. Maali is committed to elevating the dental health standards in his community. He brings a wealth of clinical expertise to our institution, constantly updating his skills to incorporate the latest dental techniques and procedures.

Dr. Maali is also an active community servant. He regularly volunteers at the Orange County Dental Research Clinic, providing critical dental services to the under-served populations in our area. When he’s not shaping the future of dental assistance or giving back to the community, Dr. Maali enjoys spending quality time with his family.

Lanni Nguyen is a Dental Assistant Instructor and Recruiter at the Dental Assisting Institute, where she brings over 15 years of hands-on experience and a genuine passion for guiding the next generation of dental professionals. Certified in both dental assisting and X-rays, Lanni is deeply committed to education, excellence, and empowering students to build meaningful careers in dentistry.

Her journey into the dental field began with a desire to enter the medical profession. That initial interest quickly evolved into a rewarding career where she discovered a true love for patient care and clinical education. Lanni knew she had found her path when she realized how fulfilling it was to share her knowledge and help others succeed in the dental industry.
In addition to her work in dental education, Lanni is also a licensed real estate professional. Outside of her professional life, she enjoys spending quality time with her husband and two children. An active family, they love participating in 5k runs and finding fun ways to stay healthy and connected.
Lanni’s energy, experience, and dedication to both her students and her family make her a standout leader and a valued part of the Dental Assisting Institute team.
